ASYLUMは1985年春、元SICKBOYSのGazelle(vo)を中心に、Chelsea(g)Kiba(b)乱倫(dr)で結成。しかし、同年7月にはSICKBOYS時代のAriga(b)Mitsu(dr)が加わり、Aki(g)とGazelle(vo)という新生ASYLUMとなる。
1986年6月、ソノシート｢ASYLUM｣発売。1987年発売のアルバム｢CRYSTAL
DAYS｣は3000枚を完売。インディーズチャートの1位を総なめにした。
メンバーのマイナーチェンジを繰り返しながら、1992年8月、中心メンバーであり、フロントであるGazelle脱退に伴いバンドは解散
Gazelleはソロ活動を行っていたが、2000年3月31日、復活宣言。6月3日、新宿URGAにて正式復活ライブ敢行
